Nepal release of Adipurush stalled

The Nepal release of Indian mythological epic film Adipurush remains uncertain after Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah’s call on Thursday to impose a ban on all Hindi films after taking objection to a line of dialogue in the film. Mayor Shah said that the producers of Adipurush, an adaptation of the Ramayana starring Prabhas as Lord Ram, includes a line of dialogue in which Sita is described as ‘daughter of India’. In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, Devdatta Nage, who plays Hanuman in Adipurush, said, 'It was a different experience on Adipurush for all of us than normal films. In order to imbibe the relation that existed between Lord Shri Ram and Bajrangbali, I used to feel the form of Lord Ram in Prabhas. For Prabhas, that feeling used to come automatically. I used to sit on the sets with the rest of the cast. But as soon as Prabhas used to come from anywhere, I would automatically stand up and become alert. He repeatedly asked me to sit, but I could not do that at all. There is a scene in the trailer where Lord Shri Ram and Anjani's son Hanuman meet. There Hanuman's eyes have an emotional expression. There is a stream of tears from his eyes. Believe me my eyes were actually moist while giving that shot. Because I also met Prabhas in the same spirit. Our director Om Raut was also very happy after getting that shot.'
